Recreational Programmes

This is where the journey begins!

Goddards offers the beginning student recreational dance classes with a focus on the technical development of skills, in an enjoyable and

co-operative environment. We strive to instil a love of dance and to provide each student with an increase in self-confidence and understanding of teamwork. Recreational dance refers to any form of dancing that is done primarily for its social, educational or health benefits; it includes social dance and amateur dance instruction and performance. At Goddards, our recreational program offers classes in genres of Acro, Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz and Tap for anyone ages 18 month - Adult.

The studio offers beginner classes for every age of student, grouped by age and experience levels. In December, parents are invited to our open house where the students display and perform what they have learned. This is a wonderful opportunity for children to obtain performance skills and self-confidence, not to mention a great photo and video opportunity for moms and dads. Springtime finds the groups developing the dances they will perform in the year-end recital in June.


Students can remain in recreational dance advancing with their experience level, or if selected, choose to move on to a more intensive program with our competitive team.

Jazz is an expressive and energetic discipline that combines current dance moves with popular musical trends. Jazz class will get your dancers moving, stretching and shaking for a well rounded and super fun class.

Combination Classes

Our combination classes include a mix of the styles above.

Adult Classes

We offer Adult classes in Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Aerial Hoop/Silks and Strength & Flexibility. The classes are a great way to keep your mind and body healthy and a great way to maintain fitness while striving to develop posture, balance, strength, rhythm and musicality.


Acro dance incorporates acrobatic movements into dance routines. Similar to gymnastics; this particular genre teaches strength, agility, flexibility and poise. Mixed with Jazz Technique, these classes are challenging but great fun. 

Goddards is proud to offer the fun and engaging AcroDance Pre School & Acrobatic Arts syllabi.

Hip Hop

Hip-Hop is an urban style of dance and the only place where you can dance to your favourite pop music and learn cool steps just like the music videos.

Boyz Only!

Unique to Goddards is our Boys Only dance classes is a fast paced, high energy, super fun class for boys ages 5+ years where they will learn a mix of

Hip-Hop, Street Dance, Acro and

Break Dancing.

Our instructors help students develop a sense of rhythm, coordination and a love of dancing.


Following the teaching methods used by the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), students learn ballet technique while developing posture, poise and grace. Ballet is a great skill that will take some time to master but involve focus and discipline.


Tap is a classic form of dance and it develops a student’s rhythm, co-ordination and musicality. Students have a blast making sounds with their shoes in this class. We follow the A.D.A.P.T syllabus.

Performing Arts

Our weekly three class programme will introduce students to the world of Musical Theatre where they will discover skills to improve their overall performance and style, focusing on technique, facial expression and showmanship.

Goddards programs are designed to promote excellence in our students acrobatic ability in the air and on the ground, with safety being our number one priority...number two is FUN! 


We are dedicated to providing a positive and supportive training environment where students can learn, grow, have fun and be safe.


Aerial Silks develops technique, strength and flexibility, while focusing on upper body strength on our fabric apparatuses; silks (two long tails of fabric suspended from a single point) 


Aerial Hoop develops technique, strength and flexibility, while focusing on the endurance of the body on a solid apparatus; hoop (hollow metal circle).
