Full Out Intensives

 

All of our intensives are open to dancers everywhere.

​

Mandatory for all dancers wanting to be a part of the Competitive Team.

 

At Goddards we believe that it is essential for dancers to be versatile and diverse, our Intensives are a great opportunity for dancers to learn from a variety of inspiring professional guest teachers who will expose them to different dance styles and share with them their expertise and experiences. If your child is longing to work with the most sought after dance teachers in the industry, these are the Intensives for you!

Each Intensive has been specifically created around young dancers who train on a competitive level.

​

Space is limited and filled on a first-come first-serve basis. Classes will be divided into two groups according to age and level.

Dance Intensive

 

Mandatory for all dancers wanting to compete with is for the upcoming Season.

​

Goddards Full Out Dance Intensives will give you the complete package with classes in Ballet, Conditioning, Jazz, Technique Progressions, Contemporary, Improvisation, Modern, Musical Theatre, Jazz Funk, Hip Hop and more!

Acro, Contortion and Aerial Hoop Intensive

 

Our Acro Intensive includes Stretch and Strength, Limbers, Balances, Tumbling, Partner Tricks, Transitions and more! Mandatory for all dancers wanting to compete in Acro for the upcoming Season. Spaces are limited – register early to avoid disappointment.


Join the GS team and our special Guest Teacher, for our Full Our Acro Intensive, an Intensive designed for beginner to advanced acrobats. 

 

This Intensive is not just for acrobats. All dancers are encouraged to come out to improve their flexibility and strengthen their bodies. The Full Out Acro Intensive is available to all competitive dancers ages 7 & older. Space is limited and filled on a first-come first-serve basis.

Prerequisite for the Advanced Intensive:

Must be able to Back & Front Walkover and working on Aerial and Back Handspring.

​

Prerequisite for Intermediate Intensive:

Dancers must be able to support their own body weight and should have good knowledge of foundational skills and progressions such as bridges and recover, bridge kick overs, balances (headstands, handstands, etc.), cartwheels and variations. Dancers will also develop strength and flexibility required to progress their acro training safely.

Intensive Guest Teacher

Meaghan Wegg

In 2001, Meaghan was accepted in to L’Ecole Nationale de Cirque in Montreal where she specialised in aerial hoop and contortion. Upon graduation in 2005, Meaghan performed professionally as a principal dancer in many roles, including the cast of ‘Tomorrow’ (Pigeons, International) and the cast of ‘Loft’ (7 Fingers). From 2009 – 2012, Meaghan performed on tour globally with Cirque Du Soleil’s ‘Quidam’ as a feature aerialist.

 

Following an extremely successful performance career, Meaghan shifted her focus to coaching and choreography. In 2013 Meaghan graduated with a coaching diploma from L’Ecole Nationale de Cirque (Montreal, Canada) with a major in Research of Acrobatics, and a minor in Hand to Hand partnering for dancers. Currently she works as a private acrobatic coach and choreographer, and attracts students from around the world with a focus on career development, choreography and professional stage preparation.

 

Meaghan is the Australia, New Zealand and Asian Division manager for Acrobatic Arts since 2015. She launched her Aerial Arts syllabus and sold it do Acrobatic Arts now managing the global market of sales and courses. Meaghan started The Academy Circus as a local London, Ontario circus and acrobatic facility in 2017 and has branched out to a 2nd location in Clinton On.

 

Meaghan has been hired for global choreographic projects in Australia, Montreal, France, China and India creating large scale shows for special events, Casino shows and year end performance university shows. She is passionate about welcoming everyone into the performance industry while sharing tips and tools about making it a reality.

 

Before the pandemic, Meaghan worked as an Artistic Coach with Cirque du Soleil at IHQ in Montreal.
